FANUC is adding the new digital service FANUC Assisted Reality (FAR) to its service offering in Europe. With this, the company wants to support customers as fully as possible, even in times of travel restrictions and distance rules. At the same time, FANUC expects FAR to improve service even further.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has approved a 600 million euro package for automotive supplier Valeo to finance its research projects focused on reducing CO2 emissions and improving vehicle safety. The funds are to be allocated to Valeo’s Europe-based research projects, primarily in France, but also in Germany, the Czech Republic and Ireland.
For the seventh consecutive year, the BMW Group leads the US in automotive exports. Plant Spartanburg in South Carolina exported 218,820 vehicles with an export value of more than 8.9 billion US dollars in 2020. The BMW Group produced a total of 361,365 vehicles at the plant. About 218,000 of these units were manufactured in the second half of the year, setting a new plant record.
The Eberspächer Group is strengthening its activities in the field of automotive electronics. At the beginning of the year, the Esslingen-based automotive supplier founded the subsidiary Eberspaecher Controls Ro S.R.L. in Romania. With the new location in Cluj-Napoca, the company will expand development activities in the future, particularly for control units for electrification of vehicles and autonomous driving.

For the robot and its innovative achievements in the field of medical robotics as a whole, KUKA has received the "Company of the Year 2020 " award from Frost & Sullivan.
