In 1998, Hexol products started to be imported in Romania from the Canadian branch. The increase of sales and a good development of the Romanian market determined, in August 2001, beside the imported products, the beginning of production in Romania for motor oils, industrial lubricants, universal greases and automotive chemicals, all under the HEXOL license/brand.
