The revolution has already started with the abandonment scheduled at the end of the year of the small C1 and the disappearance of the C4 SpaceTourer, born C4 Picasso in 2013, in the coming months.

2021, a year full of innovations

Conversely, the firm recently returned to the compact sedan segment with the new C4 and on that of family sedans with the very latest C5 X. Crossover between a sedan, a station wagon and a crossover, the model at atypical style will be the new top of the range for rafters. It will be exclusively produced in China and available in a plug-in hybrid version. Its marketing is scheduled for fall 2021 and its arrival in concession will take place in early 2022.

Another novelty expected in the coming months: the ë-Berlingo, the 100% electric version of the famous minivan.

The C3 Aircross restyled is already available on the French market: from € 18,850 in petrol (PureTech 110 BVM6 Live) and € 22,800 in diesel (BlueHDi 110 BVM6 Feel Pack). Launched in the summer of 2017, the city SUV underwent a mid-career facelift at the end of winter 2021. It took the opportunity to adopt a new front end, extend its personalization offer and move upmarket (appearance of (a larger central touch screen, a new central console and “Advanced Comfort” seats).

2022, the year of the SUV

After this year 2021 loaded with new products, Citroën will start again in 2022 with the C5 Aircross restyling. A successful model launched in 2018, the SUV will continue its brilliant career with a new look and the arrival under its hood of the 48 V light hybridization.

Next year could also be marked by the appearance or rather the return of the C4 Aircross. Based on the new C4, this would again be an SUV that will be around 4.35m long. If it did indeed see the light of day, the latter would slip between the C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross in the manufacturer’s range. Gasoline, diesel and electric engines should animate it. Its presentation could take place in spring 2022. Also on the program next year: the Jumper restyled !

2023, here comes the new C3!

2023 will not be left out. The year will also be of great importance since it will see the renewal of the brand’s best-seller: the C3. Restyled recently, the city car will be completely revisited. Technical cousin of the new Peugeot 208, it will take up the main elements. Starting with the platform and the engines. Like the little lioness, she will thus be entitled to its 100% electric variation. A low-cost variant will also be on the program for markets in emerging countries, such as India or South America.

2024-2025: the “Aircross” get a makeover

Finally, in the longer term, 2024 will see the landing of the new and second generation of the C3 Aircross while 2025 will welcome the all-new C5 Aircross. The latter will be the seasoned counterpart of the future Peugeot 3008, expected in 2023.
