Energy prices fell 8.1% in September, led by natural gas Europe (-15.6%) and crude oil (-8.1%). Non-energy prices fell 1.7%. Agricultural prices eased 0.8%. Food prices changed little as a group as a 6.9% increase in grains was balanced by a 3.8% fall in edible oils. Beverage and raw materials declined 0.5% and 4.8%, respectively. Fertilizers gained 6%. Metal prices dropped 5.7% with declines across the board, except nickel. Precious metals declined 4.6%.
