Nissan has announced its presence at Timișoara Mobility Expo 2023, event that will be organized at the Timișoara Regional Business Center (CRAFT) between May 3-4, 2023.
The company started in 1911 when it was originally founded under the name Kwaishinsha Motor Car Works. Three years later, this brand produced its first car, the DAT, which was an acronym of the three investing partners' surnames. The automobile manufacturer debuted on the Tokyo Stock Exchange as NISSAN in 1933. Nissan expanded beyond its Japanese roots from there and officially came to the U.S. as Datsun in 1958.
By the early-1980s, Nissan (Datsun) had long been the best selling Japanese brand in Europe.
In 1999, facing financial difficulties, Nissan entered an alliance with Renault of France.
In 2023, Nissan announced its intent to produce electric vehicles with solid-state batteries by 2028.
