Honeywell has unveiled its latest innovation in robotic technology designed to help warehouses and distribution centers automate the manual process of unloading pallets, reducing the operational risks of potential injuries and labor shortages.

Driven by sophisticated machine learning and advances in perception and gripping technologies, Honeywell’s Smart Flexible Depalletizer minimizes the need for manual labor to break down pallet loads – roles that carry risk of injury to labor, experience high turnover and are currently difficult to staff.

Mazda Motor Corporation today announced plans to expand its SUV lineup starting from 2022. The new models will include the Mazda CX-50 to be produced in their new U.S. plant, as well as models in their Large Product group, including the Mazda CX-60, Mazda CX-70, Mazda CX-80 and Mazda CX-90, all of which are slated for introduction over the next two years between 2022 and 2023.

Auto manufacturer Hyundai and autonomous vehicle technology developer Motional have partnered to launch a new robotaxi. The all-electric Ioniq 5-based robotaxi is Motional’s first commercial vehicle and will be used in its fully driverless public ride-hail service starting in 2023.

The vehicle represents the product of “unparalleled expertise and partnership” between Motional and Hyundai Motor Group.
