Mumbai-listed car parts producer Sandhar Technologies, with operations in Spain, Poland, and Mexico, will invest EUR 25 million in a production facility located in the Prejmer industrial park, in Brasov county (central Romania).

The investment will create 125 workplaces, according to the local authorities that confirmed the project. The company will develop the plant this year.

Electric bikes have been on the market for a number of years now. But thanks to increasing affordability, a pandemic induced cycling boom, and a growing appetite for more sustainable modes of transport, sales have snowballed in recent months. Indeed, according to the Bicycle Association – the trade body for the UK cycle industry – e-bike sales grew by 67 per cent in 2020 and are expected to triple by 2023.

Lotus has unveiled the Emira, the last combustion engine sports car to be produced in Hethel before the marque embarks on all-electric models.

The road to electrification is defined by Vision80, the company’s plan to increase sales and global reach with a strategy that includes the use of four new architectures. Among these is Sports, a new lightweight bonded aluminium chassis that Emira is based on.

Arrowsmith Engineering has invested over £200,000 into a new Doosan 4th axis machining centre and robotic cell that is expected to boost production speed and increase capacity by 50 per cent.

The company is using ‘lights-out’ manufacturing to run a precision engine part 24/7, supplying over 200 components per month to customers in Spain and the US.

Flying cars could approach production after a successful 35-minute flight of AirCar Prototype 1, a Slovak dual-mode car aircraft currently powered by a BMW engine.

AirCar, inspired by Professor Stephen Crane, co-founder of Klein Vision: 'This week (June 28, 2021), we embarked on a flight from Nitra Airport to Bratislava Airport, marking an important stage in its development when we achieved 142.nd The landing was successful.'

Stellantis announces a £100 million investment in Vauxhall’s Ellesmere Port manufacturing plant to transform the site for a new era in electric vehicle manufacturing.  Ellesmere Port will become the first Stellantis plant to produce a solely battery-electric model, in both commercial and passenger versions, by the end of next year, for Vauxhall, Opel, Peugeot and Citroën brands and for both domestic and export markets.

Combinex is one of the fastest growing forwarders in the Benelux region, specialised in transport services for dry, fresh and frozen goods.
