Ford Romania announces that the new Machang E-Mustang is now available for pre-orders in Romania, through the network of Ford dealers specialized in selling electric vehicles. The starting price is 42,800 euros (with VAT and the Rabla Plus bonus applied).

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, both versions can be paired with a standard or extended range battery. The version with extended range and rear-wheel drive has a range of up to 610 km measured in WLTP mode. The battery is charged from 10% to 80% in 38 minutes for the standard battery version and in 45 minutes for the extended battery version.

Strong national variations in EU sales of electric cars are clearly correlated to a country’s standard of living, according to new research by the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA).

Battery electric and plug-in hybrid cars made up 10.5% of all new cars sold in the EU last year. However, 10 member states still had a market share of lower than 3%. The analysis demonstrates that consumer uptake of electric cars is directly linked to a country’s GDP per capita, indicating that affordability remains a major issue.

Rolls-Royce is entering new aviation markets to pioneer sustainable power and as part of that mission we will be developing energy storage systems (ESS) that will enable aircraft to undertake zero emissions flights of over 100 miles on a single charge.
